It also has directions on moving and installing different parts of the back cover, like the fingerprint sensor and rear bezel.

You won’t need to utilize every adhesive strip in the package. Using Tesa tape or other double-sided adhesive could be necessary if you are moving the fingerprint sensor.

These general guidelines apply to applying adhesive strips such as these:

Adhesive strips often have two sides: one colored (paper or clear plastic) and the other non-colored. The surface on which the strip should be put initially is determined by its non-colored side.

Applying glue to an unexposed strip on a phone can be simplified by aligning it to its intended position and then taping one edge down to secure it. This will prevent you from losing alignment while removing the plastic liners to reveal the adhesive.

Step 2: Adhesive gasket and fingerprint sensor

For one minute, place a heated iOpener against the fingerprint sensor.

When the fingerprint sensor touches the back cover at the lower seam, carefully peel it out using an opening tool.

The fingerprint gasket seam is located at the top seam; avoid prying at this seam.

This step should be skipped if you’re replacing the fingerprint sensor, not the fingerprint sensor gasket.

Peel the fingerprint sensor off with an opening tool to remove the fingerprint sensor from the gasket.

By comparing the adhesive strip’s contours with the adhesive residue and the phone frame, you may determine how the support strip fits against the surfaces.

Generally speaking, the adhesive side wrapped in a colorful liner should adhere to the phone frame, and the adhesive side covered in a transparent plastic liner should conform to the rear cover.

To remove adhesive residue from the phone frame, use an opening tool and isopropyl alcohol at a high concentration.

Ensure the back cover is free of adhesive residue before reusing it.

Metal tools will harm the coating on the back cover, so avoid using them.
